When updating ios 7
Step 1) – Launch the Settings app on your i Phone, i Pod Touch or i Pad, go into the General tab and then the Software Update tab.
Step 2) – You should now see a screen stating that the i OS 7 firmware is available to install on your device. Step 3) – Accept the Terms and Conditions and then the i OS 7 firmware will begin downloading.
Of course if you would like to do a clean install of i OS 7 you can click the Restore button instead .
A new window will now appear where you will need to select the official i OS 7 firmware file you downloaded earlier.
If you do this then you do not need to follow steps 2 and 3, simply follow the on-screen instructions.
As long as you have read through the applicable preparation guides and have an i Phone 4 and later, i Pad 2 and later, i Pad Mini or 5th generation i Pod Touch, you can begin updating to i OS 7.
This is a rarity but if your i Phone/i Pad is stuck somewhere in the Apple logo or at the recovery mode (shows the i Tunes icon with the connector) after an i OS 7 upgrade, there’s no need to panic. We found some users calling attention to a problem: after upgrading to i OS 7, the i Phone/i Pad is stuck at the recovery screen or at the Apple logo.
Turns out that the problem is easily fixed with a hard reset. The restart never kicks in and instead, the i Device is completely stuck.
There are a ton of new features worth noting like Air Drop, Control Center, i Tunes Radio and so much more.
Updating to the i OS 7 firmware could not be more simple thanks to the ability to perform the update Over-The-Air (OTA).
